How are you going to be a meat cutter and been with Sam's for 15 years and your going to put ground meat out on an endcap and there's purge all at the bottom of the case and you just covered it up and kept working this is one of the reasons we can't move to the next level some of our associates just don't care.

while every club has lazy associates, some just more than others. the majority of people want to come in do a good job.
what you described will soon be common place—in every dept.
when help is cut & production demands become impossible reach, the first thing to happen is workers start taking shortcuts.
cleaning routines are broken, proper rotation isn't done, culling & zoning aren't as thorough, people become careless, accidents happen.......
before long clubs & stores become a dump & associates don't care. consumers then do their shopping elsewhere. inevitably it goes out of business.
it has happened time & time again.
unfortunately, the clowns running this circus are so arrogant that they either think the company is invincible or all they care about is making as much money as they can for themselves before getting out.
either way, what we're seeing is the beginning of a downward turn for the company.
Holes everywhere. What's that got to do with being a 15 year cutter? Holes everywhere because you get what you pay for. Cutters can't keep up with the cutting cuz they are usually flying solo. Want clean counters? Put someone on the schedule to clean them, whether it's another meat cutter, or a cleaning person. You. Get. What. You. Pay. For.
