I requested a leave online through sedgwick due to covid 19. Do anyone know how long it takes for them to approve it?

You do not need to show proof of anything is a HIPPA law and it takes 2 to 3 days to get approved as long as you put you you failed the questions at work which even if you didn’t go on but knew you would fail it (why risk getting others sick) you will get paid for it. My son and I both got paid for ours I was sick tested negative but didn’t get better got tested again 5 days later and got paid two weeks my son never got sick but was exposed to me and had to quarantine for 10 days even with a negative test they made him stay out the full 10 days with pay

So it is my understanding that the company pays people who fail the Covid Test, whether or not they end up having the virus or not. We recently had a person go out who said they had a fever over 100 degrees. It took 4 days for this person to get tested, 3 days for negative results to be returned. Then we learned this person did not quarantine but traveled for a family event. Must be nice to get paid for using the system. Dishonest people are using the system.

I applied when I first thought I had covid, that PCR test came back negative. I was back to work before they approved my days off.

I applied the second time, because my first test was a false negative. I did indeed have covid. The PCR test was positive this time. After I uploaded my positive test results and whatever else they ask for, it took them about a week.

They are very busy. I was worried, so I called Sedgwick, and selected their automatic call back. They called back in about two hours. I talked to an agent. She told me it was approved.

Be aware, that they don't accept all test for covid. Like those home test. I went and took the PCR test, which the medical community considers the gold standard.
