I think we can all agree this deal hardly did AT&T any favors. When the whole thing is done and over with, I'm thinking the leadership will realize some more cost cuts are necessary to make the numbers (artificially) look better. The best (and the easiest) way to do that is through layoffs. Which means we're going to be the screwed party once again.

What happens to Lily?
The only thing that motivates Stephenson and Stankey is money and more money. It's time to hit them in the pocketbook, that will get their attention. Who really cares if they threaten the BOD that they will leave and go elsewhere if their income demands are not met. Its time to put a stop to this outlandish compensation, as in Jason's 52M, completely insane.
They will lay off the workers that are not needed. Doesn't make sense to so many workers when the work isn't there.
No cuts in c-suite compensation or perks!! Free private jet travel, free cars, free gas and a weak Board of Directors!!!
The CWA in the west ad southwest made a deal with T to keep as much work inhouse as possible and it seems to working. There has been a lot of techs hired for upcoming work rather than contracting the work. However, once the work is complete there's no guarantee how long they'll be with the company!
Why worry about it? What happens happens. Nothing you can do about it. If you are worried then do what ever you feel you need to do. As long as payroll shows up twice a month, no worry.
Who knows, right?
If we actually re-focus on the network, it's possible that generates more work, but it'll probably all go to contractors.
Stankey doesn't see the value in anyone below the director level, and his desire to NOT employ anyone for more than 5 years is probably the only thing that hasn't changed.
Look at the last five years - has anything that's happened been good for the employees? I'm going to let history be my guide and assume this deal will end up being bad for us just like everything else.
