Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Archaic thinking

Honeywell has finally hit rock bottom. Other major corporations are providing top flight facilities and benefits to keep employees happy who must work in person. They are also forward thinking with progressive policies like work from anywhere, which saves money with no drop off in production. Meanwhile Honeywell is stuck thinking in reverse. There isn’t a decision they have made in 10 years that doesn’t reflect their archaic and outdated thinking. They need a complete reset before there are no employees left to abuse. Absolute and utter poppycock of a company. Time to move on.

FTE’s are a necessary evil. Goal is to get population to 1.

It smells like an agent of averages, aka, director/VP is trying to use their mediocre brain, doesn’t matter whether it is inside or outside of the workplace, they are just another person, nothing special about them ever

They put the boots to the employee and offshored the jobs "For a Fistful of Dollars."

Lol @ the Honeywell exec below. You're not doing a great job selling honeywell. PSA for those looking for flexible options - Raytheon also has certain stipulations of work which you might prefer to Honeywell's

OMG. more crying about how you're now actually going to have to get up off your lazy as--s and do something. WTF is wrong with you people. Stop being pathetic crybabies. Be responsible for your actions. Own up to the fact that you agreed to certain stipulations of work, when you agreed and accepted a position within this company. We are tired of you expecting your participation trophies just for logging into your laptops and plopping down on your couch for another Netflix marathon. Grow the F(UC)K up.

I do a lot of cross site work. Long before the pandemic, i learned how to be productive and contribute to the teams without getting to be in the same state, let a lone the same room. I don't want to work from home all the time. I want a return to being treated like a professional instead of a child, and be trusted to make the decission that today is a day of telecons so I'll work from home so I'm not adding to the maddening noise level in the cubicle farm.

Ah, Generation Tide Pod!

I can agree about increasing wages and making in-house working conditions better, but we all know that "progressive" is incrementalism for Universal Basic Income, college loan forgiveness, free Teslas, CRT indoctrination, and the rest of cultural Marxism.

They need to work on the culture first as that’s seems to be the root-cause of this problem (in my humble opinion and with experience in 4 different corporations). They focus on winning, which is very apparent in the LT language, if you hear them. These leaders hire others like them to create more people with the same mind-set. They don’t understand that this wining philosophy creates friction, non-sustainable competition and a poisonous environment, which is not productive in long-term. On the other hand, focusing on empathy, team work and people (which should be a part of their guiding principles and should be followed in essence) will make them more productive in long-term. I don’t think that they will get this simple formula.
