After all the divestments are finished why do we need both Stankey and McElfresh ? Does Jeffy take down the Stank ?

Bring in John Legere to replace the current CEO. That guy gets it and would do wonders for the culture and performance at AT&T.

Hopefully not. He might be an improvement over Stankey, but that's not saying much. ATT's problem is not just Stephenson and Stankey, it's the bu-----t driven culture of incompetence that developed under them, in which form means everything and substance little or nothing. The company would be better off bringing in someone from the outside instead of giving the reins to one of the shining stars of that culture and expecting him to change things in any significant way.
