Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Is shareholder approval required for sale of Time Warner to Discovery?

Clearly the company is losing 40 billion on the Time Warner transaction and seems like we did not even try to get other bids from Amazon or Apple or somebody like that for those assets. How is this the best return on sale we can have without entertaining other bidders?

Apple & Amazon have no use for TW. This isn’t “prime “ real estate we’re selling off here.

They are very smart Country Club buddies making these deals. Stockholders are just suckers.

Smells of the Kate 90’s with the NCR & Bell Labs spinoff. We all know how that went for the “employee’s !”

Per what Stankey said the other day, long term financially it's a wash. Once you factor all the revenues and stuff they sold. Of course they get 43 Million in cash, some debt collateral, and 71% ownership.

Not AT&T shareholders; only Discovery shareholders will have to approve. No other offers entertained. This deal was done cloak & dagger style between both COE's on the golf course. Kept very hush-hush; didn't want public knowledge, but then it somehow leaked on Sunday, so they made an official announcement on Monday.

If you haven’t noticed the people at the top of all this are complete mo--ns. Why would anyone ever think their exit strategy would be any better than how they got here in the first place? M.O.R.O.N.S
