My Gm told me last year around this time that maintenance was going to $15 but we haven't got it. Does anyone know anything about this? I feel we should have got it by now.

I work in maintenance and we deserve $15 a hour or more we have to clean so much my store we have to clean restrooms every hour get trash in cafe every hour and break room and also management has us pull pallets sweep and mop floors that merchandiser should do when they pull pallets and stock and if a maintenance person calls in or closing one calls out no one cleans restrooms at closing so opener next morning has to clean restrooms before starting on floors
I am not in maintenance but they deserve 15 dollars and hour anyone that thinks they don't should be put on a rotating schedule to do maintenance one day a week. Start handing days out to other associates in different departments that don't believe maintenance or carts deserve 15 dollars and hour and let them take that responsibility on for awhile. I promise u they will change their mind the very first day they clean a bathroom and in 5 min. have to go back because someone just crapped literally all over the wall, the toilet and in the floor. Or the day they have to go out and push carts all day in 105 degree temp or maybe 20 degree temp. with snow or rain. Not sure why anyone thinks they don't deserve 15 dollars. Maintenance are more at risk at catching not just COVID but all kinds of diseases than anyone at Sam's club. So maybe that is what home office should do start just handing days out to each employee especially those that think maintenance or carts dont deserve to be paid more let them have their day to do that job and let's see how fast they stand up for maintenance and demand they get 15 hour also. Just because these are considered lower jobs , they are the hardest jobs. So get over yourselves. It's a lot harder than zoning or standing there with iPad asking for upgrade and credits. And they get paid more than merchandisers or lift drivers. Want to complain about something start there. Why they get paid more than u when u work harder than theybdo? And no I don't do carts or maintenance, I do club pick up and my job is hard to but I believe everyone deserve the pay they get. But I believe some get paid more than they deserve while other who deserve more don't get the pay. Just my opinion.
No raise but we have to fix things clean tu-d off floor and walls sweep floors run floor machines and now we have to grind down floors to make them shine take care of flooded bathrooms get called constantly because members complaining about piece of paper on floor don’t know how to push button to flush but you can push carts or check items at doors and make $15 $16 dollars an hour and they got the 2% on top of that total BS
Look they deserve 15 dollars an hour. That is the worst job at Sam's club. The other day our maintenance guy was cleaning the ladies restroom and had already cleaned the men's and family ones. This woman comes out while five or six women waiting on family one and she had been in there forever and she says it's a mess in there. And u could smell it. This woman had craped all over the wall and in the floor. I was so angry for our maintenance man. He said I just cleaned in there. She just walked off like it was nothing. So yes they deserve that 15 an hour.
Vending machine empty. No TP in the restrooms. Trash compactor jammed and filled to the door. Don’t think they deserve anything but a coaching at my club. Or managers could quit recruiting from the nursing home🤣
Be careful what you ask for. When they give raises they cut hours or eliminate people all together.
Thats bs because we the ones that had to do the covid cleanings all those times and only maintenance. We put our lives in danger and they still didnt want to pay is $15. Come on sams club even heb got a 2 dollar raise some even got 3 dollar raise. Take care of your employees I've been here for 5 years and its going to sh*t.
I asked my manager about it cause I’m in fuel and last two new employees out here got fifteen. Me four years other guy 12 are not making near that. It’s bs. She said only us and maintenance aren’t getting it and no word on if or when we would.
