The opposite of job satisfaction is actually no job satisfaction! It can’t be low or poor, it’s just no job satisfaction, period! I used to get satisfaction and take pride in my work performance. Now, since T no longer cares, I no longer care. I go in every day, try to do as little as possible with as little effort as possible, then collect my paycheck, that’s all!

It's not that bad. Could be worse.

I think you should seek employment elsewhere, that is, if you’re still employed by ATT. Some employer might be desperate enough to get you on board...,

debt as a deduction on their taxes. Don't you realize T has been in business for 100 years and have never paid much if any corporate income tax.

Have you even read the 10-k? Because that spells out explicitly the income tax paid. T pays far more tax than you could earn in 100 lifetimes. Maybe you're simply ignorant of accounting? Maybe you don't know what accounting is? You might just stick to climbing poles.

Okay, you win! T is 180B in debt, but they can use the interest paid on this debt as a deduction on their taxes. Don't you realize T has been in business for 100 years and have never paid much if any corporate income tax. Oh, and they never had anywhere near this amount of debt until the Stephenson/Stankey era! Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

T recognized the importance of little to no debt, that's called freedom to do as you wish.

Interest paid on debt is a tax deduction for corporations.Without debt, they'd lose the tax benefit.

How will you cover the difference?

Same here, mid 6 figure lump sum pension, >477K in 401K, house paid off, no debt, cars and toys paid off. Life is good, I would like to work 6-7 more years. I only wish leadership at T recognized the importance of little to no debt, that's called freedom to do as you wish.

$4M+ Net Worth... 65% = 401K (well diversified) + pension... and no debt, of course

People stay because they have bills to pay, but the fact still remains, many employees no longer care about their work performance or the overall performance of the company! They’re numb to everything around them when it comes to T.
