Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Wrongful termination case

If you think US Bank is a organization of decent leadership that runs ethical HR practices, think again. Here is the latest of many wrongful termination cases, except that this one will damage the WM area in biblical proportions.

Jennie O'Bryan deserves a monument for standing her ground against these total SOBs and their discriminatory practices.

She doesn't deserve a cent. Unfortunately she's not the innocent victim she's portraying herself as. She herself has discriminated against many employees and made countless profane statements. What comes around goes around. She deserved to be fired long ago. This Tupman lady may have acted inappropriately but it's nothing Obryan hasn't done worse.

She is not the innocent victim she's pretending to be. She's highly unprofessional. She herself has made MANY discriminatory statements as well as MANY inappropriate/vile comments. She does not deserve any kind of settlement because she has treated employees much worse than what her claims are.

She is still here in WM. 30+ years per LinkedIn. Curious

This is a bank that covers up for se-ual harassment, sec/finra violations, code of conduct incentive fraudulent behaviors, etc.... It is no different from other banks.

“If she has not already been fired, she deserves to be and the whole reporting chain should be investigated.”

No argument there! I have reasons to believe this might never come to pass, though :-(

I hope Jennie O'Bryan gets a really nice settlement check and Ms. Tupman is held to account for her actions. If she has not already been fired, she deserves to be and the whole reporting chain should be investigated.
I suspect most of the layoffs they do when they "eliminate" a position are in part age related. I have never been able to figure out how they chose my position over others on my team but I would not be surprised if my age/health/s-x had something to do with it. Lots of old guys seem to be kept on far beyond retirement age but women who are close to retirement, get the axe first. It's all part of the "old boys" network undercurrent; especially in technology. If you are young, slim and se-y you can make it far but if you aren't a hot mama you better watch out. If they are going to make cuts; it's probably going to be you. Many of the women managers in TOS still use their 15-year-old Glamour Shot photos even though you wouldn't recognize them any more. That in itself pretty much tells the story of how they got to their positions in the first place.
