Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Zero respect

Sam's Club has zero respect for its employees. There seems to be an accepted idea that for as long as they pay us, they can treat us any way they want. Sadly, for many people who depend on this paycheck that has turned into reality. We have to take the constant mistreatment not just from members but from our superiors as well. This is shameful and shouldn't be happening, but it's not as if there is something we can do about it.

Ethics line will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for you and will just kick you back to your scumbag Market Manager.

I've known of many people that gave contacted ethics for legitimate reasons and ethics says they do their little investigative work ... but usually sides with the management. Favoritism is in every part of Sam's. Even when they had somewhat of an HR Dept., they didn't know anything for about their last 10 years, before doing away with them.

Many states you can record things going on as long as you are part of the conversation. You can also record violations and other things. Keep a track record with others and if they refuse to do anything about it start a class action with others against them. Theyre not afraid of individuals but if a series of suits popped up on them everywhere they would get afraid.

This is the life of a retail associate. Always has been. In every store lives a power hungry, uneducated A-ho-e waiting to rip into someone with less power. Make sure your work life isn't lived in retail. How I wish I could start over, know what I know now, and do it different.

You've got zero respect for yourself if you stick to a retail job that treats you that way. It's not as if retail jobs aren't literally everywhere. If the reason you stay is you can't find the same salary and benefits elsewhere, you are overpaid for your skills.

That would be bad p.r. for the company to admit wrongdoings and leave themselves open to lawsuits. It's always been this way.

We had an associate walk off the job two days because of the way his Team Lead belittled him in front of others. THERE IS NO RESPECT FOR THE INDIVIDUAL.
