No cure for favoritism here?

The madness in this company is driving me crazy. Many times I have witnessed terrible favoritism on the part of my supervisor. I finally thought that things would change after he left and then what happened... in his place came a person who doesn't even try to hide that he favors certain employees. Terrible.

The main problem here are many team leads...which are no better, no smarter and less educated than most associates that work for this jo--t. But because they are intimidating and deceitful (especially when selling an upgrade) and show cashiers how to be the same, it's quite embarrassing. If you want to be paid more and not have to irritate members constantly, try to work at Costco. It's still retail, IF that is what you desire.

I have been with the company 20 plus years. From day one I could see the favoritism. Most of the time I manage to just ignore it as I need a job and it does not make sense to job hop because of something common to many work places. At other times I have felt favoritism's nasty sting in things like being overlooked for job transfers or being held accountable for things the favs were not. The fav thing sometimes runs deep and subtle at others it rages on the surface but seemingly unnoticed or glaringly flung in ones face it is always ever present. Favoritism and retaliation go hand in hand and are foundational driving forces beating in the heart of every club in the Sam's empire. If you can't see it , refuse to see it or actively work to conceal this truth you are not only a part of the problem at Sam's but are indeed part of the problem with society as a whole.

And then there is age discrimination. I cannot believe the way some team leads treat associates. They talk down to them and humiliate. them. There is a correct way to give someone criticism, constructive words not destructive. Our club has a turnover rate of over 50 percent. This is not cost effective folks.

It's the same way everywhere. You either tolerate it or leave.

my store is ripe with favoritism, gender discrimination and racial discrimination. The favorites literally walk abound all day shopping and talking on the clock and being hand fed overtime and what ever crazy schedule they want to do. literally they disappear all shift and only reappear suddenly minutes before its time to go. I dont kiss no bodies bu-t, i get the stink eye like a ba----d child. i get the kind of stare from my gm like i set their childhood home on fire. everyone else gets preferential treatment. only reason ive survived so long is because i do the work load of like 4 people. I dont mind working that hard if it means i dont have to kiss anyone's bu-t. Oh you want me to stay late? come in on my day off? LOL , feels good to say no and not worry. what they gonna do make me work hard?
