Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Anyone know anything about BCBS lawsuit? ATT included...

I dont normally fill out any paperwork for class action lawsuits I might be a party to. I usually have to spend many hours filling out forms and gathering documents and I end up with a coupon for $10 off my next $200,000 purchase or a check for $2.99 5 years later.

Generaly the lawyers are the only ones that make out with hundreds of millions in legal fees, while those of us harmed get a couple bucks.

But I tought I would ask about this one?

I can't see any AT&T employee's covered under this. Only people insured by BCBS. AT&T is self insured and pays all claims.

As stated earlier, don't waste your time on this. You will be lucky to get a check for less than one dollar after waiting 3-4 years. It's just another Attorney at Law money grab.

At&t is self-insured and just uses BCBS as the administrator. My guess is that any settlement would go back into the plan and employees, in theory, should see lower premiums. However, the settlement, if anything, wouldn't even be rounding item for the plan. T spends man Billions on HC.
