Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Fear of additional responsibilities

Is there anyone else who has been given so much responsibility because of lack of people that it is no longer normal?

I’m starting to fear any extra work because Allstate has no limits and I am overwhelmed with more and more work every day.

They just don’t want to look at the problem from an employee’s perspective.

Now I can barely get through the working day, and if they give me just one more responsibility, I will definitely leave.

They consider claims a payout, expense, and risk to Tom and Glenn's bottom line. Considering claims pays out money and Allstate if forced to also pay us to work and do the job we become the corporate scapegoat and the first to be hacked off and moved to India

I honestly can’t figure out why insurance companies treat claims employees like dirt. They are the most important front-line employees with arguably the most difficult jobs in the company. That being said, Allstate treats them MUCH worse than others!

They don’t care. My manager told us to get used to more work with less people. I’m so close to quitting. Just scared it’ll be the same c––p at a new job.

Allstate will by 3rd quarter realize how many customers left . Customer service has gone way down with so many delays in claims .

Just say no. Make a list of your work tasks and ask your manager which ones you should prioritize. Then, stick to it. Take ownership of your work and say
“As discussed, I prioritized these 5 things. So, that one didn’t get done.”

It's all a part of the plan my friend. They don't care about how stressed, frazzled, and hopeless you feel. It's all by design. They are trying to push employees mentally to the breaking point so they up and quit (no severance) or that it is impossible to meet their terribly unrealistic metrics so they can term you for cause (no severance and in many states no unemployment). All this before sweeping layoffs later this year so there are less to layoff as so many already voluntarily quit or were fired for performance. Ultimately when enough of us just can't keep up they will move all they can to India and pay thousands if Patels less than $5 an hour to do the work. They will have 4 or more Patels doing the work of one of us and will still pay less per year than one if us. Allstate will eventually become a company of exploiting foreign cheap labor while more money goes into Shapiro and Wilson's slimy corrupt evil pockets.

This is how they get people to leave on their own and avoid paying severance or unemployment.
