Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

I’m considering transferring

I’ve been at Sam’s Club for over 5 years and unlike many I actually enjoy my job. However, I will be moving due to my husband’s job in a few months. I was happy to see that there is a club close to where we are relocating. Should I attempt to transfer or should I just quit and reapply once I have moved and am settled in? What’s the option likelier to end up in me being hired?

Thanks all, I really appreciate your advice. I will contact the club ASAP.

contact the club to find out if they have a FT opening in your current position. Odds are they won't.
If not, take an LOA & look for a better company to work for. If you can't find another job, take whatever they have available at the new Sam's until you can find another job.

Take a L.O.A. and try to find a better job where you are going. If you can't find one then go through with a transfer

I would try and transfer. If you quit and come back you start over on how often you get PTO.

What is the position? I would contact the team lead at that club see if they are hiring for that position or taking transfers. I’d hate for you to toss 5 years down the drain.
