"Boomers to rich to care"....I've had cable TV, several streaming services and DTV. Nothing beats the picture quality and ease of use as satellite. I don't have to spend 5 minutes of searching just to change shows and there is no hourglassing. I'll spend my riches to keep it.

After I retired, the discount went away, the DTV bill increased by $100, and I got slammed into Sunday Ticket. As a result of this, I dropped DTV and went back to Comcast.
I’m sure not getting it for 11.00 a month!! Over a 100.00!
Is there any facts behind us losing the discount or is OP speculating ?
"Robust discount???? R u kidding???? "
Are you an employee or a troll?
I'd call $11.22/mo TOTAL a pretty robust discount for a package that goes for $151/mo without a teaser rate, plus Sunday Ticket, a DVR and three additional receivers, and an equipment service plan.
What do you call a robust discount?
Sling TV.
Better, Cheaper, More Variety, Great Support.
Still sitting in my Grand Prairie Truck - reading, posting AND drinking EVERCLEAR.
Robust discount???? R u kidding????
I will drop it if I lose my discount in a heartbeat!
John Stankey and HR are not equal opportunity indian givers.
With all the benny reductions I can't believe they haven't eliminated this more than generous employee benefit. Must have fallen off their radar screen, I hope C-suite or HR are not reading these messages, imagine how much the company could save by limiting this concession to a 10% reduction.
Who said we are losing the discount?? AT&T is a 70% owner
Boomers too rich to care. They've still got their AOL accounts too.
My guess is there will still be some type of discount. But it won't be nearly as robust as the current one.
I don’t even have it now, so not me.
Not me
Why would one want to pay full price?
Cheaper and better options abound.
A month+ after my layoff, they pulled the discount and changed it to a retiree discount. A day later, my hardware was at the Fedex office and I was a Youtube TV customer. I'm really enjoying YTTV and no more worries about losing TV for a day during heavy snow or ice storms.
As long as they have the Sunday Ticket I will keep it and I’m sure others will as well.
Do you really expect anyone to say me to your question? Why as a question you already know the answer to?
