If you are a manager leaving ATT then how is the exit interview handled? By your supervisor or by HR or ?

Let me clue you in. They could care less if you leave voluntarily or involuntarily which means spending time on an exit interview will be a total waste of your time.

I really didn't have an exit interview. My boss told me to make sure to send my laptop back and that he wouldn't be releasing the funds for my "retirement" party (I believe up to $500 that I would have spent on an outdoor dinner for my family) so it could be spent at a future post-Covid work event (and what are the odds I'll even be invited?).
Some of the feedback here is BS. Such as, they send an email out that looks like you sent it. I did my own good-bye email and everyone got it. Granted, it's been 3 years, but It's all about how your manager (Director for me) wants to handle it. For instance, the person who delivers you the actual 60 day notice is not allowed to interact with you in certain ways. My Director had me come into his office and my ED - who lived in another city - called in on speakerphone and gave me the news. This way, my Director could still work fully with me. No real exit interview, but we talked for an hour. He told me to stop working on my projects and start looking for an internal move. Everything else was by the book. Call into the "lay off" class, get your paperwork ready (I thought I had an internal move, but it didn't work out) and turn in your computer/ID on the last day. PS - my Director got me a contract position with another company; so not all of the "they don't care" c-ap here is true.
Your boss will tell you how sorry it ended this way, keep in touch, and exchange email and phone numbers. They will then take your phone number and email address and block it out in their personal phones and corporate email exchange. After you sign the form not to sue for age discrimination to get your severance they will hire a contractor or younger person to replace you. Meanwhile, your boss and anyone else that took over your duties will get a nice promo and raise. They will just hand over anything else you handled to someone named Satish and start planning on how to screw over the next person in your group before going on vacation.
Meanwhile, after you log off they will take over your email account and send a group email to the team that sounds like you wrote it where you are announcing your departure and how you hope to meet everyone again, and thanking them for your success at a great company.
Exit Interview? HAHAHA! Even the url they provide for "feedback" is dead. It's such a joke
Been surplused 5 times and never gotten an exit interview, unless you count being told “eff you, please leave” as an exit interview.
Mine was, “ I wish I could do it”. I volunteered.
They don’t care about company assets with covid. You get out and they hire a contractor to sterilize any thing you touched. Your access card will be deactivated via dial up 56k line. Look for pay and severance in your bank account with all unused vacation days. Call the numbers you get either by company mail or email for more info, probably contractors also. Remember, your company email and company phone will deactivate on your last day. You’ll get a new job quick, most people don’t want to work nowadays with Biden.
I never had one. Just return your equipment via mail since covid. Very simple.

You get into a room and admit all the ways you goofed off and how you lied and cheated for your pay.

Exit interview???? How about, “ Hey boss, in 2 weeks your going to notice I haven’t been here in 2 weeks.”
They just want to make sure you return all company asserts, not interested in your feedback.

The call I received on my last day was from one of my peers. The Director I reported to delegated the exit interview. And she basically just asked if I had any questions and I advised nope. I immediately signed my last document, logged off and put my PC in the mail, all by 10 AM.
