How come we don’t have any new great products that this company needs so much now? It seems to me that the focus of those who run this company has shifted from what's crucial to totally secondary things. I’m just wondering if I will still be in this company when it launches at least one more great product....

Everything that ATT touches turns to garbage! ATT was Bell Labs... remember that? ATT decided that Labs was no longer needed. Now labs...is literally non production networks, hosting non production platforms. Nothing more. You don’t want att designing anything. Att is full of 60 yr old people, who have no clue regarding technology. Name one product att has created in the last 25 yrs. die not exist! Att had a chance to work with apple in regards to their App Store. Att said they just wanted to sell phones and provide the network!!’
We don't sell products, we sell rate plans.
Sounds like Att & China have big plans for new technology in their phones. Tracking devices like they do the the Uighurs in China.
We don't create cutting edge products, we buy good companies that do and destroy them.
Unfortunately, T is on the defense with all of its cost cutting measures, ie., head count reduction, pension reductions, healthcare cuts and retirement cuts. This can only mean that any new product
develop is a long way down the road at least until T begins to harness its debt load.
Because we did so well with Digital Life and Plenti? This is an interesting comment because for the past year and a half all I’ve heard is about how we need fewer products and focus on “core connectivity.” Instead of building something new and likely terrible, I’d like to see the company make significant improvements in things we already do... like faster internet for all so people don’t take out ads telling us how much we s—

Last great product was iPhone exclusivity, while it lasted.
Other than that, can you really name another commercial/consumer product that T has a leg up over the competition?
