In regards to health insurance coverage changes, John Stevens just said “As we direct the move to single pay” meaning they are pushing towards getting rid of our private health insurance snd pushing toward government insurance.

this is just plain corporate fascism. I don't want the government to have anyting to do with my health. they gave money to china to come with the china virus and look how that is going. do you think they are going to give back any of the restrictions. they want to k–l small business and they want us more and more dependent on them so they can have more say in how we live our lives.
just plain stupid about as stupid as wind turbines in a blizzard. oh wait lets just let china run our health care system since they are so good at coming up with viruses.
Medicare age will be lowered to 50 letting companies off the hook on healthcare for all retirees and early retirees but will still benefit the employee who just has to buy gap rather than the whole costs associated with private insurance
Single pay probably means one health plan offered. Most likely the Bronze plan. It is the plan most likely with the least Cost to the company
Strange how T doesn’t have the $ to pay health insurance but they can afford to pay folks to sit around with no work day after day year after year. Exception time through the roof.
1st the retiree subsidy goes then the employees get put on ACA (ObamaCare). As employees you should not expect this company to pay for much and continually cut it until they see a few younger employees start to leave and then they know they pushed it to the limit
Well, the writing is kind of on the wall there. Employer sponsored health insurance will be going away...
Warner Media crew are a JOKE!
"Healthcare is the single biggest expense for the company. Somewhere in the 8-10 billion a year for employees and retirees. "
The pension change (rip off) in 1996 was so T could pay out retiree Healthcare cost out of the pension fund instead of the operating budget.
Ratty and Stinky saw to the end of that as T pension fund is grossly underfunded due to all the walking and T not contributing. I suspect Stinky has to borrow $ now to pay the retiree expenses.
T is on the Express Train to h3ll thanks to Ratty's and Stink $hitting leadership.

In AT&T speak single pay means get all active employees on one plan and all post 2021 retirees on the exchange.
The government will direct the move to single payer. That said, AT&T has always been a "single payer" throughout my career and yours. AT&T is self-insured and these "health companies" like UHC and Blue Cross, Cigna, etc, manage the AT&T plans.
Most large employers are also self-insured. That's why single payer isn't the magic fix. Countries that spend a lot less on health care regulate the prices charged for services. And pr-scrip-ion d–gs is another racket.
Not sure why he held this as the subject matter was weak - diversity and culture, his weak replacement and the video on high ranking people saying goodbye
Pascal looked weak!!
remember when stevens came on a call and said - we have line of site to pay off all the debt - not worried - no issues !!
or did he mean I have line of site to my golden parachute ?
I’m all for that. Private insurance is a joke.
John Stephens has one foot out the door. One more quarterly call of telling us everything is right on track!!
