Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Show of hands

How many are STILL feeling the stress and fatigue from being burdened with additional workloads cause by layoffs? It’s gotten to a point where it is affecting my home life. Work is always there in the back of my mind, and whatever time I have off is not enough to decompress. Sometimes I feel like I’m caught between a rock and a hard place. I know others will tell me to just quit, or leave - but it’s easier said than done. I just want a normal workload, unless THIS IS the new norm.

Allstate does not care who they hire as long as they do what they are told and don't ask questions and don't expect a thing except to always be ready to be told you're not doing enough

I hear you. My plan is to work one more year and by next spring/summer the us should be 70% vaccinated and the virus not as lethal. At that time jobs should open up more. I will probably leave then unless something dramatically changes at allstate which I doubt it will. Don't worry. Next year we will all have a lot more options in the job market. Right now it makes more sense for most to stay because we are safer at home with the virus and job market isn't great

Pretty soon we’ll be out of a job in claims as they move our adjuster jobs to India by end of 2021.

Not only is it the new norm...expect it to get worse as the work begins to transition to India.
