Almost everyone that was still working under AT&T in Puerto Rico has been laid-off today. Given a week and a half notice, unsure what their severance package offers. Skilled underpaid workers replaced by overpaid ones with less knowledge. No one is indispensable and apparently, easily replaceable. Best of luck in finding new jobs.

Best thing anyone could do is QUIT ATT. Horrible place to work. Didn't realize how awful it was until I left.
These were employees who did not work for the “telephone services” part of the company. Most worked for the United States (federal accounts?) under AT&T. Apparently, the company doesn’t want to keep paying an office building for under less than 100 employees, nor there is a job for them under Liberty.
Most of AT&T Puerto Rico was acquired by Liberty Communications in 2020, and employees migrated with the sale.
