Texas employee here. Most of our team was without power since Sunday up to last night. Because we were being charged with an occurrence we united to take the rest of the week off since our occurrence would cover 5 days. Some of us got our power back yesterday and decided for the good of the company and to reduce our workload next week to work starting today. However ALL of us are now locked out of our systems and our manager is only telling us that we will talk about it Monday so he acknowledges he knows we cannot log in and it seems to be on purpose. Some of us think we are being punished and possibly let go do to all of us uniting to take the week off due to how Allstate poorly treated us during this Texas crisis. Ridiculous!

If power/internet was out, it is coded Personal Time Paid not PTO
Channel 8 News here in Texas reported they received calls about companies charging employees PTO time for not being able to work because of the issues with power, heat, no internet, food.......Either they take PTO or they aren't paid.................
OP, It's been 5 days, what happened?
@1kfk+19tAdjsI I see you mentioned people on the streets any update?
That kind of thinking makes it really difficult for the rest of the company to service customers.
Allstate is really different compared to caring employers like CitiBank
From Business Insider:
Citigroup, which has approximately 8,500 staffers working in Texas, has converted its corporate office spaces in the cities of San Antonio and Irving into warming stations, a spokesperson for the company told Insider.
Employees can visit the sites to get warm, charge their electronic devices, and obtain water and granola bars that the firm is providing. Most of those employees work in operations and technology-related roles, as the bank does not operate a consumer branch footprint in the state.

@1gve+19tAdjsI, yikes! How many families were on the streets during the holidays? Do you know where?I'd like to figure out how to reach out to them.
We know at least 3800 laid off stateside and ANI. Can you provide the stats and link?
The “good hands” motto is now nothing more than a corporate punchline.
The only hands connected to Allstate is
Reaching into the pockets of its employees...and customers...
If they fire you, go to the company Facebook page and the media..
Is your former building open for "essential workers"? Ask to work inside the building. Other offices have people coming in when there are internet access issues.
Take it to the news media if they terminate you . Big blue can’t afford any negative media attention during this weather and power crisis plus how poorly they treated us during the massive layoffs in 2020 during the pandemic, leaving many families in the streets during the holidays .
TX adjuster ......how immature
But.....I got a company wide email yesterday telling me how much they care!!
Mutiny on the Bounty at Allstate!
Non-Allstater here. Could you explain some of the lingo? Like what does it mean to be charged with an occurrence and what does it mean for one occurrence to cover 5 days?
Likely Allstate is going to have claims out the wazoo and you guys are going to be in big demand to process them.
But, it does sound like Allstate is going to take punitive action, up to and possibly including termination. That is pretty c-appy.
But they’re sending their prayers and well wishes! Aholes!
What department are you in?
