Friday is usually not a layoffs day so I'm hoping beyond hope that it's all over and that those of us who still have a job don't have to worry anymore. What are the chances this is true? Is there anybody here who is high enough that could give us a hint if this is true?

I was laid off while on COVID-19 leave. I was at home sick and they called me on my cellphone to tell me about restructuring the company and my position was eliminated. Then I read that the CEO gets a 7 million dollar bonus every year. But I get laid off while at home sick with COVID-19. Very classy Centene.
Laying off before chinese new year, before president holiday weekend and some I heard on Friday is beyond what I would ever expect from a company. Even the worse companies in the world at least do not do that.
Shame on HR. You should have picked next week after the holidays if you had to pick a date.
You just destroyed the morale of the company. If someone can find a missing 10 million dollars in costs, do not expect them to come forward.
I just got let go yesterday. Never saw it coming. I've been with this company for 20 years! Never any performance issues or concerns. There's no rhyme or reason. What a slap in the face to the loyal people who've poured their blood sweat and tears into their work. It's a very sad day when you're easily discarded this way.
I am in leadership in a state health plan and we finished notifying all of our employees effected today. It’s been a very sad day to see some of my best top performing employees let go with no control over any of this.
I just was laid off today. No rhyme or reason as to why, just cutting 4 nurses from our team. All loyal, former WellCare employees meeting productivity, working short staffed but getting it done. I am a widow with no other income and bills to pay like everybody else. Praying that God opens a door for me. Pretty bad when you have to lay off a widow. Evil exists, and vengeance is for the Lord to deliver and decide upon.
There seems to be no logic in who is picked....mine does not seem related to redundancy

Unfortunately, for the people that are on PTO it will go past Friday if they were off during the 3 days this is happening. It happened to me at a prior job, the day they did the layoffs I was on PTO so I got canned on Monday, but I already knew because my whole dept was let go. I can't see them doing it while the person is on PTO so...
Been with the company 6 years and was notified this morning that I was one that was being let go as my position was being eliminated. 3 mo severance package provided. I’m beside myself.
I got let go from Centene on a Friday back in May.
