Time to form a Management UNION

As our company continues to evolve, current Management continues to find WAYS to reduce/ change our bonus, holidays, vacation day, medical and other items. All of which are family effecting. I say its time to form a UNION which will have a say and implement rules/changes which reflect company values and honors employees who have given their entire life to AT&T. It's time to form a UNION.

You’d be toast before you got it going...and if you did....they’d outsource the whole department.

Google successfully organized initial meeting on forming union with programmers and engineers. It is not too far off ..

The old saying "if you're unhappy, do something about it." Having a management union would accomplish exactly nothing. If you're mid career I feel for you because you have a lot of time invested...if not...find something that will make you happy instead of "beating your head against the wall."

Here is my thing if ATT is trying to cut jobs then find a job outside of ATT where you will be happier.

I agree ATT doesn’t care about their employees but a management union seems unrealistic, also retail has a union yet ATT has still cut their total headcount over the last few years.

A union would be an improvement. At the very least a serious attempt would make leadership rethink stupid things like rebadging employees covertly to train offshore replacements. It would actually be funny if 50%+ employees were unionized, then they wouldn't have enough contingency planning scabs to cover union employees.

But then you would be "Union Filth" as described as such on so many post.

If you started a union all managers would be required to work and stop taking hour bathroom breaks.

I understand the sentiment, but in reality, the company will rebadge your first, long before you can form a union.

How in the world would get away with leaving at 2pm everyday if you joined a union? They'd have to turn the GPS on in the company car.

Careful what you ask for. Union contract for management would favor the company so much you would want to leave. You lose all the freedom and perks.

Exactly!!! You couldn't wait to get a management job, and I tried to tell people not to do it. Who would go blindly into a job for status. Now you get what you deserve.
