Randall had not blown Billiions on the T mobile deal. Just imagine if he had not wasted Billions to buy a Direct Broadcast Satellite company. Our esteemed "leadership" even stated that "We have lauched our last satellite" not soon after acquiring Direct TV. Just imagine if Stankey didn't try and fail to be a media mogul. Just imagine if the "leadership" of AT&T had directed some of those resources to building the best fiber optic network in the nation that every OTP streaming service {Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc} would ride on. We could have printed money, but no, "leadership" wanted to venture into things they have no business being in. I blame this on Randy and his propensity to chase shiny objects. "Leadership" deserves not one drop of respect or loyalty. Keep your head down and cash checks for as long as you can. "Leadership" is driving this train off of perfectly laid tracks.

How about instead of “swinging for the fences” and striking out on “the next big thing” just offer competitive products and services at competitive prices instead of treating them like “best in class gold plated everyone’s go to have” when they aren’t? It’s feels like “step right up and buy this Ford or Chevy at Lamborghini and Ferrari prices.”
But we can’t afford to place fiber(...as I’m patching the same copper for the 4th decade now)
But but new fiber $ comes out of 1 pot & the repair copper $ comes out of another pot!
Yep! If we placed 1 foot of fiber for every dollar wasted.....
its about time someone started talking about the failed t mobile merger.

Just imagine (or is it iomagine?) if AT&T had talented leadership with vision? Instead we have stankey.
Imagine if we stopped getting posts saying the same thing over and over again, from some washed out ex-employee who can't move on.
Just iomagine if AT&T had good workers.
Just imagine if they would have taken that money and invested in Apple!!
This company lost it's vision long ago. They threw out their core business with the hopes of big money that didn't pan out. They should have fiber at every customers location, residential, or business, at an affordable cost. Damn the dividends would be great.
I'm not sure it matters if we hadn't blown the money on Tmob or DTV, they would've probably lost the money in some other get-rich-quick boondoggle. Nobody involved in running this company for the last 15 years knows anything about growing a business through better customer service & products.
Don't worry no matter how fcked up leadership is T is a near monopoly it's not going anywhere...sure benefits will be less generous.... I agree with poster just keep cashing the checks
