Many buddies of mine are hopping to progressive. The pay is about $10,000 more starting with potential for bonuses. I am considering applying myself.

It's 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of another. Go where you KNOW you won't have anxiety thinking about going to work every day.
I went there. It is the best decision I made.
Inbound sales is the position I am referring to.
It depends on the position, obviously. I came from Progressive, and the pay for Allstate was higher for the same position. For myself, I know for a fact that if I were to return to Progressive, I'd have to start at a position which is around $10 - $15k less.
This isn't to discourage anyone. If you can find a position paying you $10k at Progressive, apply yesterday. They actually support their employees.
Inside adjusters there get burned out but the auto appraisers are taken care of
From the outside looking it it seems they care more about their employees.
They are also offering work from home. Some of the hours offered are later or occasional weekends but the bonus potential makes up for it and higher base income.
Used to work there, you get that sweet sweet gainshare around December every year and can be several thousand dollars depending on your salary and how well Prog does that year, but it is awesome. A lot of the same c-ap in claims as Allstate but that’s claims anywhere
Progressive is rumored to be the front runner in buying up what is left of the smoldering ruins of Allstate once the tyranny of Tom and Glenn is over in the next 3-5 years. Now is as good a time as any to head over there.
