There is life outside of NOV. Met a lot of great people and did great things while I was there. Facility closure was what made me look for something else and did get a significant bump in pay and fringe benefits outside of NOV working for a more progressive company that has a sense of urgency. If NOV had that sense of urgency years ago during the upturn the company would definitely have made more money.
When I read posts like this, and there are many of them, I get the impression that everyone is doing much better after they've left NOV. I still hesitate, because I don’t believe that everything is so great outside of NOV.
