Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

New T Mobility Scam!

My wife and son got new 5G phones a couple months ago. Up until recently, the icon either showed 4G-LTE or the prior scam, 5G-e.

They both got a software update a couple days ago. Now their phones show 5G. Sometimes the still show 4G-lte.

Only issue is I know for a fact that 5G infastructure was not installed in my area yet! I would know as I am involved with that.

So what kind of new scam is Stinky unleashed to customers?

att is nothing but a scam - their billing and charges are a scam and now they are taking over stores like target and sams by being the only provider you get if you buy a phone from them.

I will always buy my phones straight from the manufacturers from now and will never have att my service provider.

you picked att in the first place and that is where you made your first mistake.

As long as your service works who cares what the icon on your phone says? That’s all marketing, not an indication of any different experience.

5G is getting installed all over by contractors. Even the PMs are now contractors. So you have contractors managing contractors. Me thinks you are clueless.

5G- e is 5G evolution. It’s for 4G LTE sites that have Mimo antenna set ups, 256 QAM modulation and carrier aggregation set ups. They do offer faster speeds that 4G LTE but they don’t reach true 5G speeds. It’s all part of infrastructure towards 5G. There are a lot of areas that don’t have the spectrum to launch 5G. They have turned up a few cells here and there on AWS carriers but nothing wide spread. So how is is that someone that is involved (allegedly) in the installation of the 5G infrastructure could be so completely clueless? You must have came from landline posing as a wireless guru.. Rest assured sir you are not.

Maybe someone snuck in and installed without you knowing? Don't you hate when that happens?

Every single scam Stinky attempts costs more customers, less revenue, and maybe state or federal fines, and maybe settlements from class action lawsuits. Just another symptom of T goin down the flusher when T does not have the capital to buy equipment or spectrum due to overwhelming debt. Stinky pays them with more layoffs.

Any other questions?
