That’s funny because carloads have picked up and headcount hasn’t
Ibew filed a grievance took to law board they ruled against us because carrier said layoffs were driven by economic down turn.
It is written to the DMMO, and is usually written by your LC, but you can write your own if you wish.
How do you file a grievance? Never done it before. Who do you give it to if your point was shut down and there is no one there?
Filed in January, turned down a month later, International started appeal and will go to arbitration, could be awhile before a ruling
I think the bigger question might be, did anyone ever file a grievance under Appendix M, to even get the ball started. If it was never written up and processed through the WRITTEN grievance procedure, it was probably never paid.
