Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Sad

Pretty sure I’m echoing the sentiments of a lot of Allstate employees when I say this is such a sad time to work for this company. I’ve been with the company a number of years and have loved it! Not to mention getting to work with so many great people. Lately, with recent changes not so much. We’ve lost focus on the things that made the company so awesome to work for and we are losing valued employees like it’s no big deal. Its all just about the numbers. Holding out hope we can get back on track!

First it was Texas, then IA. then AZ. ....chasing less expensive labor and lower taxes. Now it’s all about India .....for the 75% cost reductions all the way around. And don’t forget AI. That’s a winner for ‘em. Up front tech costs, but the robot can do it long term cheaper and doesn’t complain. It’s already started and we don’t even realize it. It’s being done quietly behind the scenes little by little. Letter by letter. Task by task. Smart and sneaky they are. We won’t feel a thing. We’ll just wake up one day and the computers and software will be running everything. .....brought to you by India of course.

Outsourcing to India is the future. American workers are going extinct. Too many costs associated with health insurance benefits , pensions, salaries, etc
