What the heck is going on. Bakery comes in at 6 to 2:30 and the Merchandisers and Curbside Associates come in at 4 to 12:30. So they want us to have everything ready by 8am for the members! what a joke!!!!

If they want under proofed bread that may still be warm when bagged to sweat & get soggy let them pick it up at 8:00 am . Maybe the members need to be told this would happen to there bread if they order that early. If it looks OK put it in the cooler to cool I did that all the time for an early order.
home office phuks the associates longer & harder everyday
Strong Close to open sounds good until you realize all the new (and thus untrained) and part timers are closing.
Agreed, how is curbside suppose to have things ready when the department they need stuff from doesn't come in until 6am? It's ridiculous.
And what will be the point of a Sam's Club if there is nothing there that belongs to Sam's? If everything is going to a third party: rumors say café, tire and battery, optical, pharmacy, and now bakery! What would be the point of calling it a Sam's Club? Be more like a mall, with every little cubby hole filled by a different company.
Bakery will soon be a department that will be going away and being replaced by third party sales.
Some Sam's already run without Bakery departments and do just fine without them.
Making the close more important looks good on paper. A good close is a rare thing across the board.
The way I see it, this is the company’s way to enforce close-to-open in the fresh departments. If anything, it puts more on the closer to get the department ready for the morning than the opener.
isn't 8am your time to take a break?
