Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Song and Dance show - by J & J duo

On Friday there was a Q & A session between Jason K–lar (head of Warner Media and Jeff McElfresh (ACC CEO).

More than anything, what stood out, was how J. K–lar seemed to laugh at every question. He seems like someone who knows he won the lottery and got a position/title he does not deserve. He said HBO with ads are the future as is the case with Hulu currently. Simply forgetting the creative genius and strength of Warner Media and comparing it to nothing umbrella of Hulu. The HBO brand is being diluted every day by this guy. He has no idea what went behind Sopranos, Wired, GOT, True Detective, WestWorld, you name it. What does Hulu have? Anything? To him it is about the business side not creative side. At least he is trying to expland HBO Max in Latin America and Europe. That can be good.

As for our other friendly J, Jeff McElfresh, at least he seemed serious and not laughed to the extent that Jason did. Unless it was to entertain Jason K–lar's desire for Texas burgers (I know unreal and cringe worthy as K–lar kept saying he was hungry and wanted burgers). Jeff McElfresh says Verizon is one dimensional wireless, while AT&T is three dimensional now (HBO Max, Fiber and Wireless). He talked that we never could get fiber everywhere in rural areas, and weaseled his way out of question why even in Dallas people can't get fiber.

It was painful to watch. But at least, McElfresh seemed sober. Jason K–lar, on the other hand, seemed high or half drunk the whole time. I feel bad for HBO and Warner people.

Life is too short, don’t waste it on these clowns. Do something useful for yourself or love ones.

Stankman can't tolerate anyone near him in a position of power who is more intelligent and/or is likely to stand up to him. Hence, you get goofs like K–lar and McElfresh.

True. And "CEO succession" is a well-known problem throughout the business world - for the same reason as you point out here.

Stanky hand picked Kilar! Kilar was on the Att creative board, Stanley’s knows Kilar from years ago. Kilar sold those fools on a streaming HBO dream, and they bought it!
Kilar was run out of Hulu 10 years ago, so he’s back to prove he’s not the loud mouth,
rude, arrogant, demeaning, entitled, smug, frat boy, Jerk they claimed he was. He spoke to the Warner Bros. Team like children. 30-40 year veteran media geniuses like they were a joke, then fired them all with Stankers blessing! Please understand, Kilar hates everything “old” Hollywood stands for.

Talk about taking your difficult questions. I would call them softballs but it was more like Tee-Ball.
