Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Hey, here's an idea

Reinstitute the sbc Ambassador Program & get 1st level managers to go out on their time, using their cars, burning their gas to visit small business owners and attempt to talk the owners into buying more bad antiquated services that they don't need nor want.
Pass out those stupid Ambassador shirts, keep detailed follow up logs and make sure some marketeer gets the sales bonus.
Caca, I was in the C.O. managing 25 people, 8 switches, co-ordinating conversions, working 65 hour weeks and those marketing dolts would call and threaten me because I wasn't making those all important Ambassador visits.

Fools!

i dont get this rant at all

apparently this ambassador program is gone.
but you're sarcastically taking the time to demand it comes back

you're right. we should make sure the customers only contact with AT&T is a foreign call center /s

I'm not a salesman.
Or a politician.
Nor a lawyer, carpenter, PR rep, mechanic or brand ambassador.
Not a socialite, pep rally attendee or mentor.
Not a janitor, corporate garage security officer, or any of the other BS they dump on our plates.
I don't want trinkets, breakfasts, donuts, pizzas or awards.
I want $$$$.

I was hired to fix stuff.
So I fix stuff.

Pretty simple if you boil it down to the logical end.
And easier.

Selective choice of companies to visit and no extra work required, just the free stuff to distribute to companies (friends) and $25 extra. Let those dedicated workers actually go out. I enjoyed talking to some real customers about upgrades to G3 or G4 service while on a G2 phone. I said company decided the cost of a refurbished phone was not a good investment. I never got anyone to upgrade. I did bet a phone upgrade.

Another idea, complain for the sake of complaining.
