ATT has zero chance with Stankey as he is the worst kind of toxic hubris. ATT will never be able to get it's arms around content and make it flourish. They already have Hollywood hating them and have tarnished HBO's once platinum reputation. Number 3 in wireless as well. Good job Randall and Stankey. No one can recover from $200B in mistakes no matter how many times you Executives say we need to do this......we need to be more.......if you ever took a step forward Stankey would unleash his next M&A Debt Blunder. Milk this toxic wasteland for all you can folks but you simply cannot overcome Stankeys Debt Bomb Hubris and a Castrated Impotent Board.

This acquisition reeks of the NCR acquisition back in 1985. AT&T tried to force their culture on NCR and the acquisition was a total failure resulting in spinning NCR back on its own. It had all the potential of the TW acquisition but failed for many of the same reasons. The main difference is that AT&T paid a fair price for NCR and was able to minimize their losses. With TW, the final chapter has not been written, however, the potential loss here, along with losses with DTV, could very well bankrupt AT&T. It breaks my heart to even imagine this scenario.
The future is not bright with Stankey in charge. All the past big mistakes like DTV, T-Mobile, TWX, etc and driving out good talent at Time Warner he was highly involved in. We can expect little deviation from past path of destruction and his outdated strategy of cut expenses and hope customers start buying our products we designed without customers in mind. We need an activist to buy into AT&T and threaten them again and this time stay with it.
