I can understand the hate AT&T and those in charge get for the TW acquisition, but that was actually a good move at the time. The problem was that once it was here, nobody knew what to do with it (and yes, I count mister "I'm the smartest when it comes to entertainment" among them) to achieve the intended goal. The issue was not the acquisition, the issue was the follow up. If you're going to hate on something, hate on the right thing.

Hollywood hated Att, Jason Kilar and everything they stand for. Netflix and Disney don't need to be concerned with HBOmax as it's a complete joke in the media circles.
too many streaming options, will consolidate. maybe paramount, later arrive buys tw or apple tv. doesnt last as part of T without DTV.
It’s a great bet for whoever is waiting out for T’s bottom to fall out and they have to sell TW for real cheap like they did DTV. TW will eventually end up at big player with big money and the technical know how to actually get it right. Right now Hollywood is going to k–l Stinkies dreams by a million paper cuts, blackballed and in the sights of the various unions including the teamsters. He doesn’t realized they are eating him alive.
