I see few more people popping up with green ribbon on Linkedin with their end date of Feb 2021 at UOP, Des Plaines. I knew there were layoffs in January, but not sure if additional layoffs happend in February, anyone? I wont be surprised if that happened as 1st quarter 2021 is coming to an end soon.

To OP, since no one addressed your question - The UOP people voluntarily RIFed in January were followed by some involuntary RIFs - all these folks had their last day in mid-February.
@7ccm+19MJz0nl Open Office. Ha ha. Might as well lick the doorknobs each day for disease, but they will say everything is fine because the desks are six feet apart.
This is what Honeywell wishes for:

I keep hearing Tulsa is going to be shut down. They literally spent like $5M on that office renovation in order to cram everyone into an open office. Now it’s a ghost town if folks even go to the office anymore.
The only option is to ask Renee H to leave her job ASAP and John G to retire. This CEO is a puppet to either the HR women or whoever upstream in Honeywell. Sick
UOP is a Titanic. Back end is out of the water and the violins are playing as loud as they can.
Customers know the knowledge is gone. Had 2 meetings recently where one customer openly doubted if we can still be trusted, the other one simply informed that our bid is a check bid to keep competition from going wild.
It gives me an easy number to book my hours to while I spend my time doing something fun or useful. Too bad for the sales people that will be axed in a few weeks when Q1 ends. (If we have any left)
You mean UOP jobs are in jeopardy, while the industry is being politically attacked and villainized? No way!
There’s always a good house cleaning needed every year to “take out the trash” as JG would say. But I do have to say that all this time working from “home” not traveling instead of golfing and drinking with my “customers” just reinforces how fat we were to begin with. Thank GOD I pipped all my underlings and menions that just s—ed or I didn’t like. Means I can play golf instead of attending those boring meetings with HR!
