CWA revenue declined over several years because there is not enough effort in the fight for jobs. Membership is nearly 1/3 of what it once was. Call Center jobs eliminated or off-shore for less pay.
Local CWA will either survive through organizing other businesses or, will close their doors and consolidate because they cannot pay the bills anymore.

If CWA is a little short of money, maybe they should go ask AT&T for a contribution, because from what I've seen they're better at representing the company's interests these days than they are the membership's.
Since the mid 90's the CWA cares more about politics and self perpetuation than the members.

Email a complaint to your district Prez.
Bet your local prez will tell you to "follow protocol" and not do it again. He/she will be told "control your members".

CWA and AT&T feign an adversarial relationship. But neither one cares about you.
Just keep paying them dues.
Dues are very expensive, take that money and put it in your 401k- they don't help you, you can help yourself.

Yeah , it's really noticeable to us old timers how CWA involvement plummeted around 2000 , when all the old crusty union people retired . They were the ones that battled tooth and nail with management to get them to act like human beings. The union guys today are all about getting out of work , collecting extra money and having a donut with management ! Very sad !!!
Unions do little to protect us including the CWA. AT&T always seems to win the negotiations as our union reps stumble and fumble away what we were receiving. Union does are too high for what we get
I know for a fact that this is not true about call centers eliminating jobs or off shoring jobs because T just spent millions refurbishing a 3 level building in Mesa, AZ for their new call center and hired hundreds of call reps for good paying union jobs! Also, there are other new call centers in the U.S. that ATT has that pays union wages all CWA. The membership might very well be diminishing, but T is not off shoring call center jobs. I know this first-hand! Get your facts straight!
No. This is a layoff targeted board. I’m not really concerned with the state of unions at all.
