Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What is life like working at Xandr?

Does anyone have any input on working at Xandr? I see a lot of jobs on Career Path and the salaries are sooooo much higher than AT&T for Lev 1 and Lev 2 Mgmt & Tech positions. What gives?

Xander will be sold, new buyer will pay way less than value and change the dumb name immediately.

There was an executive from DTV, and he was part of a panel at a technology event at att. He said there is an enbreading problem and company needs new blood. Guess what, he was let go pretty much immediately. No executive will dare to rock the boat, this filters down onto the mangement ranks. There is not a chance in hell any purchased company can survive, their death is certain before the ink is dry on contract.

Going back several years, maybe around the time of the DTV purchase there was all this talk about big data (remember victor Nilsson) and all the revenue that would be generated by targeted advertising. Never heard much, then Brian Lesser was the big hire. With all his advertising background there was no ceiling on growth. Nothing but another botched attempt to enter in an area with no expertise while spending a bunch of money

Xander? Just another once promising company bought and trashed by the miracle workers at AT&T. Ok, let's review, shall we? Here is the life cycle of a promising company acquired by AT&T:

  1. Amazing company with great synergy. AT&T is going to make a zillion bucks by complementing the new company's core business with AT&T's core competencies.
  1. Stankey waltzes in and insults the executive management of newly acquired firm. They depart.
  1. AT&T imposes its systems and management style. More key contributors leave.
  1. Value of acquisition plummets.
  1. AT&T sells once bright prospect for pennies on the dollar.
  1. Rinse. Repeat.

A small division at WArner media was churning an easy 400$ million a year, and was completely gutted!
Interesting business practices brought in by These folks. Thanks for nothing Att!

The notion that T has a chance of competing with FB and GOOG selling ads is absurd. Tells you all you need to know about the future of "Xandr".

This is a business unit on deck to be sold next once they complete DTV. If your not in Mobility or Fiber or supporting core business units, it’s an asset looking to be sold.

Xandr is a sinking ship. Their CEO jumped ship long ago and that says everything. Just another AT&T acquisition that is being run into the ground. Expect it will be sold for pennies on the dollar.
