Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What is everybody complaining about?

We beat earnings, what else do you want? Can we be happy about some good news for five minutes before people start complaining about anything and everything again?

AT&T has the worst workers. Now that is something to complain about.

Here are few things to complain about for starters
ATT=

  • Rated the 'Worst run company in 2020'
  • Worst streaming service, have to literally give service away free with new phone service to creat the illusion of success! Disney 200million - HBO 19mil subscribers
  • Ruined reputation in Hollywood with employees, agents, actors
  • Layoff 40k+ people mostly OLD, male employees age 50+ after 20-30-40 years of employment to make up for all the horrific business decisions made by DTV & WM purchases, TMobile

A $5B loss for the year is terrible news. Don't just rely on the earnings emails they send internally. Read the external news to see through the spin.

Future guidance is down which is most important in determining the stock price. SeekinAlpha has a new article today that we should blow up the current business model which doesn't allow growth us right. C-suite management is our #1 problem and workers continue to pay for their stupidity. Lowering salary ranges, benefits are poor, work environments are behind the times all add up as well in k–ling morale along with poor leadership at the top.

When you have to spin bad news as good news, you don't have that much good news. Revenue was down so anything related to that isn't good. And his comments about reducing debt by something like 1.6B doesn't mean all that much when you still have 160B to go. At that rate, everyone will be gone, and not paying JUST Randy would have reduced it another .1B

"The only reason why we beat estimates is because we beat over 40,000 employees out the door.
Why do you think the layoffs were done at all?
It was to make sure that the books & looks come out pretty in the end.
Same story every year.
No big executive accomplishments here."

Sounds like good old att. just creative at cutting everybody and everything. could innovate itself out of a wet paper bag.

Glad I am with a company that is growing and is alive and innovating and not dying.

But att is just one big cash flow so nothing to worry about. LMAO

Bunch of know-it-all, wanna-be-executive here. Think they have the answer to running AT&T. Couldn't run lemonade stand.

Earnings FELL for the year OP. Just because it wasn't as bad as many expected doesn't make it good. Of course I'm sure Stanky and friends are patting each other on the back for this 'achievement'.

Because we complain better than we do work at AT&T.

We gave away a bunch of iphones and max subscriptions for free.

And because of that we didn't do as bad as everyone thought we would. It's a solid plan if all you're worried about is keeping your 8-figure salary.

‘What is everybody complaining....’. Wait for it......grab the popcorn. This is the land of the irritating, disappointed, mean, ‘they done me wrong’, I’m smarter than my manager’, frustrated, etc..... i’m here just for the comments! They never disappoint.

AT&T earnings and revenue for the December quarter fell from a year earlier but topped analyst estimates as the telecom added more wireless postpaid phone subscribers than expected. But AT&T stock wavered as 2021 revenue guidance came in under expectations.
