Stankey on DirecTV/Warner: exactly what we expected

"We took a 15 billion dollar writeoff on DirecTV, but that's what we intended when we bought it."

"Warner is doing sh***y, but none of it was our fault."

"The only parts of the business that did well are what every one of you told us: broadband, mobile, and business."

"Conclusion? Fewer of you, less for you, more of Randall, and more for me."

It's kinda sad that the Warner Bros. Legacy from 100+ years ago is reduced to this...

Warner Medias failure is 100% their fault! Warner BROTHERS was the #1, premiere studio for 100 YEARS! The second Stankster and his new BFF Jason Kilar came in, they dismantled the entire company in 5 months! Thats what happens when you hire TECH people to run a media company. It's absolutely heartbreaking to see the lives destroyed because of these fools! ATT/WM is the most hated name in Hollywood now. No-one will do business with them, so might be tough for them to fulfill their dream of HBO-whatever they're calling it today, when no talent will work for you!

We bought DTV for the NFL Sunday Ticket. No one else had it. Then we decided to support the SJW movement that decimated NFL viewership.

Oops.

""We took a 15 billion dollar writeoff on DirecTV, but that's what we intended when we bought it.""

WTH - why did you buy it then. was it to k–l the competition?

The Direct TV acquisition has been a complete disaster, and I blame every one of you for it. You're all fired. I would never exercise personal accountability after all.

You can’t make this stuff up!

Stankey 2021: "We took a 15 billion dollar writeoff on DirecTV, but that's what we intended when we bought it."

Randall 2015: "The day the DTV Purchase closes is the day U-verse becomes very profitable"

Do we have a little revisionist history here?
