AT&T lowered future guidance during the call. Stock price would be impacted more if it wasn't already priced in as a low growth company. Randall and Stankey created this poor business plan and continue to collaborate. Stankey doesn't have the ability to run it alone or profitably.

"What a loser. Net worth over 70 million and all he wants to do is come back to work?"

BOOM - this shows the psychos these people are and how they want to enrich themselves and their future generations no matter what damage they cause. Also shows how much they are in love with themselves and the high opinions they hold in their own mind.

If I won the lotto worth 70 million I would start volunteering and taking trips. How much money do you really need. If you invest that kind of money is generational.

4th quarter earnings will be announced on a 6:00am CST conference call and the expectation is not good. The BoD decided that the leadership team is at a loss or clueless on where to go next to generate some revenue. RS seems to be their guy with the answer. The definition of insanity is when you keep trying the same thing repeatedly and hope for a different outcome!

Considering the condition he left the company in when he left, why in the world would we be bringing him back?

I don't claim to be an expert of everything going on at the top, but I haven't seen an article anywhere in the last 10 years saying that we are kicking a– at anything.

They owe us a detailed breakdown of what the heck we are getting for that million dollars considering that's more than many of us have made in our careers here so far.

So much for Stank's “No place is safe," Apparently Randy is safe, "retired" as CEO and hired back as $1 million contractor. Money would be best used if hand it over to T-Mo, at least that won't f#$% up the company from the inside.

I left AT&T via layoff and when trying to come back as a contractor, was told, per pension law that I would have to wait 6 months. I think that is tied into how people bridge service if they come back within 6 months after layoff, where there is an immediate bridge. I think there is something in pension law where the idea of re-characterizing an employee as a contractor doesn't fly, at least if it occurs within 6 months.

Randy, as a highly compensated employee may have a different deal.

The board told Stankey they missed his ventriloquist act, so he had to bring back his dummy.

I took a contract job right after layoff. AT&T HR said I had to leave it because I collected severance. They thought I should be unemployed rather than work for an AT&T subcontractor at $75/hr. Randy gets millions, and he comes back as a consultant right away. The elites deserve more than us peons - we are sub-human.

Come on, the poor dude's retired on a fixed income. How can he possibly live off $274k a month, he needs that million to put food on the table.

Essentially, this move is nothing more than a “no confidence” vote by the BoD for the current leadership. This does not bode well for Mr. Stanley or Mr. McElfresh. This is not good and will reflect very poorly on Wall Street. This is not good!

Why, just why is AT&T allowing Randy to return to cause even more damage. Does Stankey need more help trashing this company? Randy is the man if so.

Couple three days a week for million bucks a year. Not a bad gig. pretty sure he will be the one to pick the next CFO, after Johns' gone.

The rest of us have to wait like 90 days to come back as a contractor w/o paying back our severance. Randy should be required to skip a few months of his pension at least.

Randall is a crash dummy. He doesn't know anything worth a million dollars and psycho Stankey's ego is way too big to listen to anybody about anything even if he did. This is just another part of Randall's obscene going away package. He'll do nothing for the money except drool into his coloring books and make occasional woke noises, which is what he would have done anyway.

Didn't SBC do the same thing with Bill Daley? They sure got their way in a liberal run cesspool back then, why change the playbook. Accelerated deregulation... They bought the right guy, he'll give em what they want.

It's official, we can all sleep well tonight. Yale University 'Leadership Legend' Randall 'The Rat' Stephenson has come back in his shining armor to save this company and restore it to its former glory!

Get ready for the barrage of emails welcoming this mo–n back since he left, what - two weeks ago?

Remember the CFO left a while back.

Maybe Ratty had to come back because Stinky could not borrow anymore $ and T needs to borrow to pay the dividend? Else Ratty wont get his $1m per quarter?

And with a significant number of the 14,000 management folks leaving before the end of tjis year, the pension plan will have to borrow to pay out the lump sum since the pension fund is so grossly underfunded and Stinky took away medical for the largest exodus, aka free wacking in T history?

Read the entire SEC Filing - The $1M is chump change since all of his stock awards are now no longer prorated based on his retirement date - he gets them all. Good thing Mr. Stephenson shall act as an independent contractor and not as an agent, partner or employee of the Company.
