Yup, getting nasal raped twice a week in the Rocky Mount plant. It s—s and is a waste of time, money and personal violation in my opinion. No need to continually test people with NO symptoms!

Not trying to apology about the company, but employers everywhere are under the gun from OSHA to provide "safe" workplace which arguably includes ensuring that employees are not exposed to symptomatic people. Hard to object to testing, but we shall see about requiring vaccination.

When it becomes a condition to return to work, will you still chose not to get the vaccine? Are your convictions greater than the need for employment? You won't get the choice.

@1ltj
It will be many months before enough people are vaccinated to make a difference.

Sounds like the Q1 "make the numbers at all costs" desperation has kicked in earlier than usual this quarter.

Vaccine but still wearing mask and distancing sounds so not logical critical thinking to me.

Team—

Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases and as an additional safety precaution, beginning January 22nd, 2021, our site will begin deploying COVID-19 rapid tests for essential employees that meet one or more of the following criteria:

Employees with highly mobile roles in which it is difficult to social distance and that have significant interaction with equipment, people, parts, or processes.
Employees with roles that are critical to meeting immediate production needs.
Employees that have been identified as a close contact to someone with a confirmed COVID-19 case, either at work or outside of work.
The test will be administered by a third-party provider at the 34th Street Facility - Building 503 lobby and will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. If you have been identified as having a role that is highly mobile or critical to immediate production needs, you will be tested two times a week over a period of time that will be determined by medical and HSE.

If you have been identified as a close contact and are required to return to work, you will be tested every three days over a 14-day period.

If you refuse to take the test, you will not be allowed to enter the workplace and you will be placed on unpaid leave. You may also be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

You will be allowed to remain onsite and work only if you meet all of the following conditions: you test negative, meet all other standard entry criteria, and can properly maintain social distancing while onsite.

If at any time you test positive for COVID-19, you will be asked to leave the site in accordance with our existing protocol and placed on leave consistent with our existing practice.

Employees who test positive and are symptomatic should be referred to Honeywell’s Short-Term Disability process.
Employees who test positive and are asymptomatic will follow existing procedures and pay practices.
Pay or other benefits available to non-employees who test positive will be determined by their respective employers.
We will continue to closely monitor local cases and communicate any changes to the testing protocol as we secure additional resources.

If you have any questions about this, please speak to HR or your supervisor.

Rumors of the same thing going on at other sites. Test me everyday till I'm positive then send me home for a 2 week paid vacation!! 100+ people at my site alone have been positive at some point. The virus will continue to spread here in the factory and daily testing won't stop it any more effectively than these nonsensical masks which are about as good at stopping the spread as Honeywell is at shipping product on time. Instead of testing, why don't we get the vaccine and get on with our lives already?

Just make sure you note on the HIPA release that you do not approve release of health info to anyone.
