I think Anthem's bureaucracy wears anyone down and they eventually becomes mediocre.
Mediocre (or less) only applies to the newer hires. Almost all long-time employees are well above mediocre.
Or does working in Healthcare make you mediocre because of all the governance, rules and regulations. I’ve watched very bright individuals get flustered and discouraged, but move on to other industries and flourish.
I'm close to retirement, so I'll take mediocre!
