Funny how people want to razz on others for just wanting to save their hard earned money. If you saw us working on our old car or truck or mowing our yard you’d probably have some smart*** thing to say about it. Go buy your new Cadillac or $60k truck, pay your mower service and STFU while the rest of us are busy making ends meet.

On the wireless side there really isn't a reason to go with AT&T.

If you want to stay in GSM use T-Mobile, or use of the MVNOs i.e. Mint Mobile, Red Pocket, Boost Mobile, etc...

All cheaper, even after applying the employee discount!

When I retired and saw that T was going to raise up all my rates after 30 years of working hard and long hours. I decided that T was not going to get another penny from me. So I saved a lot of money by going to their competitors. Now I am winning and T is down 1 subscriber from the subscribers count which we all know are BS inflated numbers.

I took a voluntary severance in Feb. 2019 and dropped all insurance due to my eligibility for military retirement benefits. I only kept my DTV and cell service. I have just recently cancelled my DTV, and I plan to research other cell svc's in my area to see if i can get a better deal than my "retiree discount"! If I can, I'll sever my last and all connections to "T"!

I'm retired. Have a cabin in BFE.
The only cell service that works there is AT&T. When more towers get built, I'll kick them to the curb like they have so many employees.
But I did disco my expensive 8M!!!!!!! $39 a month UVERSE for 100M $44 Spectrum.
And canned my what was $10 a month DTV as an employee, but became $129 a month after I retired. Again for $44 Spectrum TV.
Retentions in both cases pretty much told me to MSOC myself.
So I did.
They either don't care, or just don't get it. No longer my problem.
I'll show them the same loyalty they did/do to me/you.
FAT&T.

Congratulations on your decision to not financially support the Death Star. I'm proud of you.
