I see quite a few here and elsewhere talking about going to greener pastures, as if the economy is blooming with opportunity and jobs aplenty! I really don't know how delusional one must be to see 40 MILLION UNEMPLOYED, THOUSANDS LINING UP AT FOOD BANKS, and businesses going under by the millions to still think about their career path.
2021 will soon be a wake up call to those who thought that 2020 didn't apply to them, for whatever reason.
I left in Aug and my health and wealth couldn't be better. I make more money now then I ever did doing installs for this company. I spend more time home with my family watching my kid grow rather then working mandatory 6 days plus mandatory 14 hrs of ot. My stress has gone down, my sh–ty eating habits have changed. I'm no longer bound by corporate greed.

Have you seen the cars that drive up to the food banks? My goodness, sell the car buy some groceries and buy a Hooptie to drive around until you can afford a better one.
left three years ago over 50 had three job offers on the first three resumes I sent out. best decision I made in my life wish I left the nwo cesspool att sooner but my pension buyout would not have been as big - sigh.
If you are over 50 it’ll be hard finding a job in this economy. Employers are probably pickier not wanting older employees who will be more risky with COVID virus. I wouldn’t leave AT&T benefit cuts and things if you are over 50.
If they're ling up at food banks as you say: where is the believe crew to bail them out? Don't ou "believe?"
First don't be alarmist, most of those 40million jobs are hospitality, I don't think anyone here is competing for those positions... etc. sure there's a bunch of corporates related jobs that will vanish too, but not as many .. especially considering the world is going to be more on-line than ever in 2021 and beyond with communications being essential I think T will be fine..
T will still scale down of course , and a lot will depend on the ebb and flows of the incoming administration, how fast the economy sputters back etc.
