Anybody knows do they keep the unused pto hours of those displaced here?
Happening again, CA/Bay area employees (corporate not branch) are intentionally not reporting/logging PTO in the "time tracker tool" but still taking the time off. Guess they are hoping to build up their "layoff payout" of unused PTO days. Managers are still turning a blind eye and HR is clueless while no audit or controls exists.
It was showed?
I got my unused pto this pay check. It was showed as a second direct deposit
My understanding is that I get all of the unused PTO as I am new and still very underpaid.

The PTO is confiscated. The dollars realized from the confiscation are split between Charlie and his directs.
“Does anybody know”...
Unused but accrued pto will be paid out
california is not unlimited pto, you can accrue up to 1.5 your yearly allotment at which point you stop accruing, one of the benefits of being in a employee friendly state, one of the few benefits. not that it matters much since CA isn't on any of the approved location lists and we'll all be gone in the next few years.
It's after the 60 warn notice. For the 60 days, you are still considered a fte, even though you are zz'd.
Do you even work here??
For years now, CA employees (can rollover almost unlimited PTO) are intentionally not reporting or logging PTO but still taking the time off, building up a "layoff fund" of unused PTO days. Managers are turning a blind eye and HR seems to be clueless to this practice.
How can i get more PTO? I think i was shorted this year.
The comments are accurate. You should receive your unused PTO in your next check.
Yes. If severance period begins in 2021,max carryover pto is 40 hours unless you live in an exception state.
Above reply is right. I believe it is paid the first payday following the expiration of the 60 day notice period. The 40 hour carryover does apply. Which stinks.
my guess would be after the 60 day period because you are technically still an employee until then. although this raises another question, if you are on the notice period and have more than 40 hours PTO will the cap apply.once 2021 hits.
