I'm in no rush to return to NS, but I've been looking around for the past few days and it's really slim pickings for jobs in our field right now. I hate to admit it but even a job at NS - as bad as it might be - is better than no job at all when you have a family to support.

(If you can’t find a job outside of the railroad of equal pay, then you sir are uneducated or unskilled. Sad. But the railroad loves hiring unskilled workers so maybe you did make a home)

You could always apply for open positions, however if you take one your recall rights and previous seniority could be affected.
