I retired in July, and I’m doing just fine, thank you. I still check in here occasionally to see what’s going on. It sure doesn’t seem that things are getting any better at T.

I was surplused in July 2020, I was also able to retire and finances are okay for now. Best part, picked up a decent positioin- DOING WHAT I WANT TO DO- and loving it.
I was fairly lucky with healthcare as I qualify for some Tricare coverage, still expensive, but not general market expensive. Reading through previous posts, looks like the company did me a favor.
Now if I could only get my $500.00 retirement dinner!

It's mostly the same negative toxic employees posting in this echo chamber. Some people will never be happy regardless of where they work. I have medical benefits, 401K, a pension, and service discounts which alone would cost non-employees with a family $300/month.
I retired in 2017. It appears it sure has changed. I think I should begin disconnecting all my AT&T services if it is getting this bad. I don’t trust that you guys will be able to maintain my services or better yet keep up with #1 and #2.
AT&T's management, employees (as well as its shareholders) will have to swallow, locking losses in years to come, their deteriorating infrastructure, silo platforms, and lack of options in a market with $153 billion debt load would press to continue selling not core business units, including Warner Media from its balance sheet and transfer all employees and management of the business buyer to hide loses.
Benefits are being slashed across the board
By next July you might forget where you worked— if you are lucky and smart
with Covid 19 all around, enjoy the life yoy have left..
I was laid off in July, took 6 months off and picked up a contract. I am close to retiring (52) - but to retire, it is a number for me (meaning how much have I saved). Not many years left.... worst case scenario for me is 59.5 years old. Best case - 55. I wish i had invested sooner.
Employees begged for creative ideas and plans to keep people employed. T is showing you the way now. I bet none of you are starving for anything. ANYTHING.
This place is a toilet. But too cheap to provide toilet paper or even clean up once in a while.
You can’t hide a toxic work culture, our Sh– Company is like a latrine. the connotation is that we are not even a toilet, lol
