New pension rates!

Fidelity is updated! You don’t have to plug in new segment rates!! Just estimate a retirement date and you’ll see the increase.

Doesn't really matter as the pension in Legacy S is being changed to reflect downgraded interest rates and the effects of COVID on the company for 2020 with a drop in lump sum payouts starting after Jan. 2022. Supposedly the pension amount and how it is calculated prior to Jan. 2022 will not be affected, but it will be treated differently after that time frame and as stated in the email "The Fidelity benefits Calculator may overestimate the actual payout of any benefits if you retire after 2022." A precursor to freezing the pension as was done in Pacific Bell back in 1999. Thanks AT&T for highjacking my retirement.

It'll be interesting how the new calculations recently announced reduce pensions. We all know it's going to go down...

Looks like Fidelity has fields where can input the new rates if they are not populated.

For me it was just under a 7% lump bump. So I guess I have a good idea what I might get when I get wacked this year.

You see, I have 2 years to go to get the max annuity and so Stinky will want to f@ck me over. That saves him 20% if I were to make it and take the annuity.

But who can take the annuity with T headed towards bankruptcy?

I bet T has to borrow to pay out the lump sum, just like T borrows to pay out the dividend.

Great job ruining the company Ratty and Stinky!

Yes, I see the bump in my lump sum for Jan 2021. I think its a 10-11% increase.
