Management Attendance - The AT&T Flu of 2021

COVID-19 in 2020
AT&T Management Flu in 2021
I’ll be calling out with just a sniffle!

I’ve had perfect attendance for 30 years!

That is all gone now! No need to k–l my self for a company that does not value experience.

A lot of mis information on this post about craft sick pay. This is how it works for craft in the district 3 southeast region :

For employees hired before 8/9/2015...

If Completed seniority is less than 3 years they have an unpaid waiting period of two days and then a maximum of 5 paid days in a calendar year.

Between 3 and 6 years , no waiting period. 5 maximum paid days in a calendar year.

Between 6 and 11 years, no waiting period. 7 maximum paid days in a calendar year.

Between 11 and 25 years , no waiting period. 10 maximum paid days in a calendar year.

25 years and over there is NO maximum paid days in a calendar year.

For employees hired after 8/9/2015....

Prior to 3 years , 2 unpaid waiting period, 5 maximum paid days a calendar year.

3 years and over , no waiting period, maximum 5 paid days in a calendar year.

It's in the contract fellas. Read it.

You never really k–led yourself. You are just a less productive worker so you had to work harder than your coworkers to get the same amount of work done.

No, craft certainly does NOT get 10 paid sick days a year. They receive paid vacation/personal days(which are like vacation but count towards OT hours). The vacation and personal days must be prescheduled to be used.

Craft is also entitled to 5 paid on demand sick days in addition to receiving progressive discipline for each occurrence up to and including termination if not protected by FMLA.

If you are management, your manager, and perhaps you, will get a goal in 2021 to average no more than 1.5 sick days. The best way to beat their system is to cut back work hours, run errands in the work day, don't use vacation for doctors appointments,.. ... be creative and slow up to make up the vacation taken. However, the pay adjustment will be the bad one if you are in the top of your range - cause to leave or cut back your work more and perhaps some side work

@f3i you get five. But if you use them it's a write up unless you go to a doctor and convince them fill out the lengthly FMLA form and the company accepts it.

@f31, if we in craft do that we get progressive discipline each time, whether we were on our deathbed sick or not. This company absolutely s#cks as$.

But hey, if you can get away with that in management you'd be stupid not to. F#ck this company.

That is exactly what you should have been doing for 30 years. If you are sick then please stay home. We have sick days for a reason.

Same. Can’t remember last time I missed work for being sick. But after 30 years of dedication, to take away vacation days, I’m sure I will feel the need to call out sick a few times a year from now on.

I used 24 days of sick days this year in IHX so far and not a thing they could do about it since I made my numbers every month.

Call out 5 days, work 1, call out another 5 days, work 1 and repeat over and over. Non bargained employees have no cap on sick days. Use it!!
