I walked away from the company right before the pandemic hit. Well, I would consider it more in the way of an early retirement of sorts. At first it was difficult having to adjust to not having to work but what made it worse was knowing I’d no longer interact with former colleagues. So tell me, am I the only one who actually misses this place? Certainly seems so judging by posts here.

I don’t miss a THING! It’s not the same company I went to work for 27+ years ago. I miss THAT company, when you really felt like you were in good hands. The current company fueled by Wall Street greed? Not so much. Every day since I’ve been forced into early retirement, I’ve woken up with a smile on my face instead of with knots in my stomach. It was a good ride for a while, but it was definitely time to go.
Nah, left on my own same as you early retirement of sorts, and am happy AF! It was an adjustment at first to be sure, but couldn’t be happier and so glad to be out. Just not the same place. I do appreciate them providing for an early retirement though!
I miss my friends, the fun we had, the holiday decorating and the banter. I miss my lunch crew. I don’t miss my commute. But if we ever end up going to the office, it’ll never be the same.
You miss what Allstate USED TO BE - not the company they have become

I miss the true friends I made.
We all miss "to some extent" working for the Allstate that we were all hired by. What this company has turned into will not be missed. My coworkers, friendships that evolved, will all be missed.
I miss my coworkers interacting with them in person
